Katelyn McCulloch (she/her) has written, directed and produced 4 comedic short films that have gone on to win awards including Best Comedy at Portland Comedy Festival, The Female Eye Film Festival, Best Director at Austin Comedy and more.
Katelyn’s comedy series ‘Everybody’s Meg’ that she Show-ran/Directed will air on Bell FibeTV1 in 2024. It is a spin off from her award winning short comedy "Meg Writes a Reference Letter" that was a finalist on CBC Short Film Face Off.
Katelyn is the founder and CEO of 'Hey Old Friend Productions Inc' and was just named Best Halifax Filmmaker in The Coast. She is a recent alumni of Women in the Director's Chair, a former Second City student and holds a BFA in Acting from York University. Katelyn is currently receiving mentorship from Karen Wentzel through WIFT Atlantic's mentorship program and also received the WIFT nomination for Telefilm's Talent to Watch for her feature film 'Like Mother, Like Daughter'.
Katelyn is also being supported by Arts Nova Scotia to write the final draft of her feature and is looking forward to an exciting festival circuit for her latest (and most bonkers short) 'Cart Girls'.
