Jake Ivany

Jake is an experienced coordinator based in K'jipuktuk / Halifax with a background in youth facilitation, filmmaking and other digital media arts. A graduate of NSCC’s Screen Arts program, he is now the Operations Manager at IATSE Local 849, a labour union representing technicians working in the film industry throughout the Maritimes. His personal work centres around lived experiences of being queer, empowering marginalized and underrepresented communities to reclaim their own narratives through digital media.
